To improve cancer care and research in Western India, HOC-Vedanta and M|O|C Cancer Care and Research Center joined to become HOC-Vedanta – M|O|C. Through this combination, patients in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh will have better access to cutting-edge cancer therapies that are affordable and close to their homes.
These two organizations’ integration leverages their unique resources and strengths. With the goal of advancing medicines and exploring new therapeutic pathways, HOC-Vedanta contributes its dedication to cancer research and investment in clinical studies. However, M|O|C places a strong emphasis on evidence-based, consistent care across all of its locations, emphasizing all aspects of cancer care, from palliation to prevention.
Combining forces, HOC-Vedanta – M|O|C will run 22 community cancer care centers staffed by 40 hemato- and medical-oncologists. This network is one of India’s largest cancer care networks, with the potential to assist approximately 22,000 cancer patients yearly. As a result of M|O|C’s recent $10 million funding from Tata Capital Healthcare Fund in January 2023, it is anticipated that the merger will maximize their combined strengths.
Caltius Ventures and JSA for HOC-Vedanta and Affluence Advisors and AZB for M|O|C facilitated the deal, highlighting the strategic advising and legal support that was crucial to the merger process.
The combination of HOC-Vedanta and M|O|C, with an emphasis on enhancing cancer research activities and improving patient outcomes through integrated, high-quality healthcare services, is a major step toward attaining institutional excellence in cancer care in Western India.
