A 62-year-old doctor named Dr. Gurcharan Singh was killed in a terrible occurrence in Bhano-Langa village, which is in Punjab’s Kapurthala district, when he was confronted by robbers who were trying to plunder his clinic. Additionally, one of the thieves was killed and another was arrested as a result of the early Sunday morning incident.
In order to apprehend the criminals, Dr. Singh, an ENT specialist, reportedly installed CCTV cameras after experiencing frequent robberies at his clinic. According to the CCTV footage, Dr. Singh saw two suspicious people attempting to break through the shutter of his clinic at around 1:30 AM. Responding quickly, Dr. Singh and his son hurried to the clinic to face the bandits. A legal double-barreled shotgun was in Dr. Singh’s possession.
When the doctor and his son arrived at the clinic, they discovered that one of the robbers had already entered and the other was waiting outside on a motorbike. During the altercation, a brawl started. Tragically, Dr. Singh was hit in the thigh by a bullet that was inadvertently fired from his shotgun during the confusion. Dr. Singh was killed by the gunshot wound, which turned out to be lethal.

One of the robbers tried to escape the scene after the event, but he was struck by an unidentified speeding car and killed instantly. Although the second robber escaped, the police eventually apprehended him. The culprit, a Bihar immigrant named Krishna, was apprehended and placed under arrest.
The police have filed a case under several headings, such as trespassing, theft, and culpable homicide that does not qualify as murder.
