President Murmu Advocates for Modern Technologies in Healthcare at AIIMS Raipur Convocation

President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the critical role that contemporary technology play in improving healthcare during a recent visit to Raipur, especially for those who reside in rural areas of India. She emphasized the tremendous influence that technological developments may have on enhancing human lives, particularly in underprivileged areas, when speaking at the second convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur.

President Murmu emphasized the enormous responsibility of healthcare providers, pointing out that their choices have a direct impact on saving lives. She urged them to take the initiative to use contemporary technologies to meet the population’s health requirements, especially in remote areas where access to specialists and medical facilities may be restricted.

The President made special reference to AIIMS Raipur’s work on creating a clinical decision support system based on artificial intelligence. In order to improve patient outcomes, this cutting-edge gadget seeks to support physicians in real-time during crises, especially in distant places. It is believed that these technology developments are essential to closing the healthcare disparity between urban and rural populations.

During her speech, Murmu discussed the advancements in the healthcare industry during the previous ten years. Significant progress has been made in India toward universal healthcare, she noted, including the extension of MBBS and postgraduate medical seats, the creation of more AIIMS, and the growth of medical colleges. These advancements are a component of a larger plan to improve healthcare accessibility and quality nationwide.

The President also reaffirmed the government’s goal of achieving “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047. She emphasized that medical professionals will play a crucial role in accomplishing this aim because their knowledge and commitment are critical to the advancement of healthcare programs and the population’s well-being.

The government’s emphasis on education and skill development in addition to healthcare achievements was demonstrated by President Murmu’s attendance at the convocation ceremonies for four higher education institutions during his visit to Chhattisgarh.

All things considered, her comments emphasized the relationship between technology and healthcare, promoting advancements that not only enhance medical procedures but also guarantee that everyone, especially those living in rural regions of the nation, has fair access to healthcare services. The focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and other contemporary technology shows a progressive approach to tackling India’s healthcare issues.
