Samastipur-born Sudhakar Singh, Monu’s husband, stated that even though her breast ultrasound indicated urgency, Monu had to wait about three hours for the treatment to be done. Singh said that a doctor in the emergency room gave an injection and recommended painkillers after reviewing the ultrasound report. It was suggested to Monu that she lie down for thirty minutes and then head home. Afterwards, though, an ECG was requested by a different physician. Around 1:30 pm, both Monu and her unborn child were declared deceased as a result of these occurrences.Singh, a private sector employee, expressed his dissatisfaction with top physicians’ lack of response to his wife’s problems. He made the decision to lodge a complaint against the medical staff and contact the police. Singh declared, “My wife’s body has been sent to a mortuary for postmortem,” demonstrating his resolve to pursue justice and an explanation for her passing.
According to the police, in these kinds of situations, they base their inquiry on the postmortem report and consult with the Delhi Medical Council. To ascertain the reason of Monu’s death and to obtain further vital evidence pertinent to the case, the postmortem examination is required.Monu’s relative Chandan told the Times of India (TOI) that her body was being taken on Sunday for an autopsy at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The purpose of this study is to determine the precise cause of death and to offer important details about the incident’s circumstances.
Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital’s media nodal officer, Dr. Pankaj Agarwal, said that, according to initial information, Monu, a 38-week pregnant woman, was being cared for by a prominent gynecologist. Dr. Agarwal continued, “Until the postmortem happens, we will not be able to comment on details.” This statement represents the hospital’s position to hold off on making any more remarks until after a comprehensive inquiry is finished.
Dr. Agarwal also stated that the police had received Monu’s body and would be in charge of conducting an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death. He stressed that in order to determine the causes of Monu’s death, a thorough postmortem examination would be carried out by the medical examiner. To fully grasp the matter, other investigations might be carried out in light of the autopsy results.
