Meerut Doctor Burns Man Alive to Fake His Own Death and Claim Insurance: Arrested After Confession

In a terrifying occurrence in Meerut, Dr. Mubarik Ahmed, a doctor from Baghpat who was drowning in a huge debt of Rs 30 lakh, allegedly planned to stage his own death in order to obtain insurance money to pay off his debt. According to reports, Dr. Mubarik, a 35-year-old Unani practitioner, carefully planned the crime, even calculating each step, and was inspired by the popular crime TV show CID. He wanted to make it look as though he had been murdered by staging his death and leaving a burnt body behind. His wife would be able to pay off their loans and make insurance claims as a result.

Sonu, a 32-year-old daily wage worker, was allegedly invited to Dr. Mubarik’s clinic for drinks. Sonu, who lived close to Dr. Mubarik’s clinic and was known to like drinking, was tricked into the plot. Sonu was intoxicated by Dr. Mubarik, who then took him to a remote location close to a canal in Saharanpur, where he confined Sonu inside his own vehicle, burned it, and fled. In order to give the appearance that he had died, Dr. Mubarik wanted the body to be completely destroyed by the fire.

But things didn’t work out as expected. The cops were notified after a bystander found the burned-out vehicle. Forensic teams were sent in to investigate because the body was severely burned. After discovering that Sonu had been last seen with Dr. Mubarik, the police began to piece things together. Sonu’s family reported him missing shortly after, which made the authorities believe Dr. Mubarik was involved.

Dr. Mubarik admitted to the crime during questioning, acknowledging that he had intended to stage his death in order to obtain insurance money and pay off his obligations. He had borrowed money from a number of sources, including a bank loan of Rs 10 lakh. At the crime scene, the police also discovered important pieces of evidence, including a victim’s necklace, gloves, and a can of gasoline. Prior to the event, CCTV footage showed the two guys purchasing booze together.

According to reports, Dr. Mubarik’s wife was not informed of the murder. She thought his death hoax would involve an unclaimed body. Despite his careful preparation, he was arrested because the authorities were able to quickly piece together the evidence. Dr. Mubarik is presently incarcerated on charges of murder and causing the removal of evidence. To look into any more connections in the case, investigations are still underway.
