Lieutenant Governor (L-G) V K Saxena of Delhi authorized the long-awaited elevation of 295 Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) employed by Delhi government hospitals on November 20, 2024. Following a thorough review procedure, the promotion of these 295 CMOs—who were among 302 eligible candidates—was authorized. Of the 302, 295 were determined to be eligible, six were judged ineligible for promotion for a variety of reasons, and one case has been placed on hold because of an ongoing vigilance investigation. This MS’s promotion was halted until the investigation was finished since a female MD had filed a complaint against him.
