Ajith, a Kothipolam resident who is 24 years old, was hospitalized a week ago due to a hand fracture. To treat his ailment, he had surgery, but the recovery phase was a nightmare. Ajith started to feel quite uncomfortable not long after the surgery. Ajith’s family was worried and asked for a second X-ray, which showed that the surgeon had put the incorrect rod in Ajith’s hand. This error resulted in more than just bodily anguish.
When Ajith’s mother spoke with the surgeon doing the surgery, things became worse. The doctor allegedly behaved aggressively, dismissing their worries with a caustic remark, instead of giving an apology or a remedy. When Ajith’s mother and father voiced their unwillingness to have another surgery performed on the same day, the doctor allegedly advised them to “do what you want.” The family’s distress was increased and their confidence in the hospital’s treatment was damaged by this answer.
To make matters more complicated, Ajith’s mother stated that the family had followed the hospital’s advice and spent Rs 3,000 on surgical supplies.
